The herbs are dried using an innovative, technological CFT plant that allows for “open cell” dehydration. This process, as it does not rupture the cell membrane, preserves all the properties of the dried plant, allowing the fresh plant’s turgor to be restored upon rehydration. This promotes the exchange between solvent and solute, enhancing the quality of the infusion.

OPEN-CELL DRYING
PRODUCTION CHAIN
VALVERBE operates within a supply chain logic, from seed to finished product, ensuring constant control over all stages of the production cycle, including the delicate phases of harvesting at the right balsamic time and drying.
ORGANIC AND GMO-FREE PRODUCT
Certification and traceability throughout all production phases. All Valverbe herbal tea blends are free of genetically modified organisms.
NO METAL STAPLES
The filter contains no metal staples.
ENERGY SOURCES
VALVERBE has opted for a 27 KWP photovoltaic system, ensuring that the energy required for herb drying and packaging does not contribute to pollution: BIO and ECOLOGICAL teas.
ORGANIC COTTON THREAD
Each teabag and its tag are connected by an organic cotton thread. This choice reflects the company’s philosophy about customer care and it is also a coherent response to the fact that conventional cotton is one of the world’s most chemically intensive crop, while heavy metals and highly toxic mineral oils are often used as part of the cotton dyeing process.
BACTERIAL LOAD CONTROL
Reduction of bacterial load in our blends is achieved through an innovative technique developed with our consultants, involving a controlled flow of sanitized air (3 O3 particles/liter) injected into the blend just minutes before packaging. As evidenced by the attached analytical reports, the results are extremely positive, ensuring the elimination of bacteria, yeasts, and molds without exposing the product to gamma radiation or saturated steam treatments, which “cook” the herbs, significantly compromising their active ingredients, essential oils, and vitamins.
DOSAGE
Our filters contain the recommended dose of herbs for a 100 ml infusion, using only the “good” parts of the plant. Filters were originally developed as a practical and functional way to utilize secondary-grade herbal products (leftovers, trimmings, small cuts, etc.). To compensate for low quality, higher dosages, synthetic flavorings, and colorants have become common practices. Moreover, using improper plant parts (e.g., stems) can result in significant variations in aroma and taste (more tannins). VALVERBE rejects this logic by designing its filter tea supply chain, cultivating herbs exclusively for this purpose. For instance, VALVERBE Chamomile filters contain over 5% essential oil and are the only ones on the market with an entirely Italian and locally defined origin (Southwestern Piedmont).
QUALITY-PRICE RATIO
Valverbe herbal teas offer an excellent quality-price ratio thanks to cost containment achieved through the production supply chain.
